Amichien Bonding

Amichien Bonding named by Jan Fennell meaning friend and dog in French, is the term that Jan gave to the ancient language she learned from her study of Wolves, Dingo’s and African Wild Dogs, it has evolved over 40 million years. The language that our domestic dogs instinctively understand that bears no barriers across breed.

Unfortunately, we humans fail to give canines in our homes the same respect as wild canines, even though they share the same instincts and language.  We expect domestic dogs to conform to our values within our homes and confuse them by unwittingly giving out the wrong signals. We inadvertently give them the status of alpha in an environment they don’t understand and as alphas are the decision makers, the responsibility can weigh heavily on some dogs. As they try to for fill the role we elected them to, the burden can be too great, hence the symptomatic behaviour we so often witness when a dog has become stressed, aggressive, obsessive and over-protective.

By learning Amichien Bonding and demonstrating to your dog that you are effective decision makers and alphas, you will be releasing you dog of pressure and responsibility.  It is based on 4 main areas that are vitally important to a dogs thinking. It is a simple, gadget/ gimmick free, non-confrontational and drug free way to stop undesirable behaviour. It is not a ‘quick fix’ but a method to be implemented consistently and soon becomes a way of life.

The Amichien method can be considered if:
·         You are taking a new puppy into your pack and want to start off on the right paw!!
·         You wish to gain a better understanding of your best friend.
·         You may be experiencing behaviour problems and have explored other methods to no avail.
·         You have adopted or considering adopting a rescue dog, who has been let down by humans and sometimes       unfortunately have exaggerated behaviour problems.
