Natalie Finch - Dog Listener
About Me
- My passion for dogs and all things canine, has come from the love of
my own pack, as I own 7 Siberian Huskies and have bred from them once,
which was an amazing experience.
- I have learnt a great deal from caring for, living with and
observing my pack throughout our journey together. I have raised 4 from
puppies and have rescued 3, which had given me great insight into their
behaviour and interaction with each other.
- I am completely committed to providing the best care for my dogs and
over the years have done a lot of research into diet and nutrition. I
have been providing them with natural feeding for 2 years now; this diet
represents what they would eat if they were wild and what most domestic
canines were eating before the introduction of commercial pet foods in
the 1930’s. Since changing their diet, I have seen huge benefits in
their health, appearance and appetite.
- Through my research into all things natural, I came across
Jan
Fennell, The Dog Listener. This prompted me to go buy and read her books
about an alternative approach to dog training, which is entirely
natural. I was astounded. What I was reading made so much sense to me
and inspired me to find out more and book my first course.
- I have now completed all courses and am a Holder of Certificate of
Advanced Canine Communication by Jan Fennell The Dog Listener. This has
been a life changing experience for me as we delved deeper and learned
to understand canine instincts, how they communicate with each other and
understanding their mind set; what's important to them and their
survival.
- Since completing my courses, I have put the method into practice
with my own pack and the difference in their behaviour has been a major
improvement. I have also been working with the owners friends dogs and
puppies I bred, to gain experience and confidence.
- I have also volunteered my services for DAWG (Dorset Animal Workers
Group) Dog Rescue, and have worked with owners to assist and help
rehabilitate their dogs.
- I am committed to trying to make a difference, and assist people in
gaining knowledge to enable them to: give their dogs a stress free
quality of life and giving them a better understanding of man’s best
friend, to stop symptomatic behaviour by treating the root cause.
